FactBox is proud to now offer two-factor authentication as a security option. Two-factor authentication gives you an additional level of security as it adds a second level of authentication to online accounts.
Two-factor authentication simply means combining "something you know," like a password, and "something you have," an object like a phone. Security experts call two-factor authentication a formidable barrier to security breaches on the user end: weak passwords, exposed passwords, stolen laptops, etc.
To enact two-factor authentication on FactBox:
- Sign in to your FactBox account;
- Go to the User Profile page;
- Enter your cell phone number where prompted.
After completing this step, the next time you sign in to FactBox, an authentication code will be sent to your phone. You will enter this temporary and unique number in the Auth Code prompt below your password. It’s that simple.
At this point, two-factor authentication is not a requirement for using FactBox. However we strongly urge all subscribers to take advantage of this additional security.
